Kangana Ranaut hiked her fee post the success of "Tanu Weds Manu Returns" and became the highest paid actress, but Deepika Padukone has taken over the position to become the queen of the film industry.
Deepika has apparently hiked her fee and dethroned Kangana from the highest paid actress' post. Deepika, who is collaborating with Sanjay Leela Bhansali for the third time, has hiked her fee for the period drama "Padmavati," BollywoodLife reported.
Deepika was last seen in a Bollywood film "Bajirao Mastani," which became a blockbuster hit. Post "Bajirao Mastani," she started shooting for her Hollywood debut "xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage" and currently has only "Padmavati" in her kitty. However, still she manages to bag one of the biggest projects.
The "Bajirao Mastani" actress earlier used to charge approximately Rs. 8-9 crore per movie, which was lower than Kangana's Rs. 11 crore fee. Kangana's sister Rangoli revealed that she charged Rs. 11 crore for the movies she signed last year. However, Deepika has increased her fee by a few crore and for "Padmavati" she is charging somewhere Rs. 11-12 crore, which makes her the highest paid Bollywood actress.
Not only in the actresses' league, Deepika is also giving a good competition to Bollywood actors who charges less than Rs. 10-12 crore a film.
Meanwhile, the top highest paid actresses list also includes Priyanka Chopra, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Anushka Sharma and Sonam Kapoor. However, Deepika is the queen of the film industry with the highest paid Bollywood actress tag.
