Deepika Padukone seems to be prioritizing love over work. The dusky beauty apparently had to shoot an ad for a brand she has been endorsing for a while but chose to cancel it and fly down to Turkey to celebrate the birthday of rumored beau Ranveer Singh.
Singh is currently in Turkey shooting for his next flick. Padukone reportedly upset the brand's team after she called off the shoot. The team had a difficult time to get dates for the shoot in the first place as the most sought after actress of B-town was busy with the tight work commitment.
The actress, who is currently shooting for Imtiaz Ali's "Tamasha" along with Ranbir Kapoor, is set to begin the shoot for Shoojit Sircar's "Piku" in August, along with Amitabh Bachchan and Irrfan Khan.
"Deepika has back-to-back work commitments. She will be shooting for Imtiaz Ali's Tamasha with Ranbir Kapoor. Later on, she will begin work on Shoojit Sircar's Piku in August and then begin promotions for Finding Fanny, followed by Happy New Year. Getting her dates for shooting a commercial has been quite a task, so when she recently cancelled the shoot, the brand was quite upset about it," Mid-Day quoted a source as saying.
According to reports, the shoot for the cosmetic product was decided three months back but the leggy lass apparently decided to fly out on the same day. Moreover, the source said that her trip was planned at last minute.
"The actress could only inform the crew a couple of days prior to her trip, so the brand team had no option but to cancel the shoot. It was a three-day schedule scheduled to start over the weekend," added the source.
However, both the actress' and the brand's spokepersons have denied the reports, stating that "Deepika finished her brand commitments before flying out for Tamasha".
Padukone, who is shooting in France for "Tamaasha", was supposed to leave for the country on 7 July, along with ex-beau Kapoor but the actress reportedly left a day early, to be with Singh for his birthday.
Singh is currently in Turkey, shooting for Zoya Akhtar's "Dil Dhadakne Do" onboard a cruise, with ex-lover Anushka Sharma and other actors, including Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar and Anil Kapoor.
