Deepika Padukone beats Priyanka Chopra to become Sexiest Asian Woman; check top photos of Padmavati actress

Priyanka Chopra was already a huge star when Deepika Padukone began her journey in Bollywood. Even after a crackling debut in Om Shanti Om, the latter's career witnessed a slump, which was revived by Homi Adajania's Cocktail. And there's been no looking back since then.

In these years, Padukone has metamorphosed into a fashion maven and how. Her sartorial choices and the way she carries herself with grace and poise earned her the tag of Sexiest Asian Woman, which Chopra has walked away with four times before.

"Well, it does bring a smile to my face but sexy means different things to different people. For me it's not just physical. For me being comfortable with who you are, is sexy! Confidence is sexy! Innocence and vulnerability is sexy," Padukone told the media on receiving the title of Sexiest Asian Woman.

Even though the tag is well-deserved (she was honoured with the Style Icon Award at Star Screen Awards 2016), her sense of style has become a tad predictable lately. Padukone can pull off any look with effortless ease, but it seems as if she has been playing safe with fashion for a while now.

The list has been put out by British weekly newspaper Eastern Eye. The list is dotted with Indian celebrities, including Chopra who is now at slot two, followed by television actress Nia Sharma and Dear Zindagi star Alia Bhatt, who is on number five.
