Deepika Padukone has topped Ormax Media's Stars India Loves (SIL) list twice in a row, leaving Katrina Kaif, Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra behind. The sample size of the survey is 3,300 across 29 cities.
Deepika has been making waves worldwide courtesy her maiden Hollywood project — "XXX: The Return of Xander Cage" — with Vin Diesel. The actress' team has been putting up pictures from the sets, and they are exciting, to say the least.
This is not the only reason she has been in the news. The actress may be seen in either Salman Khan's film with Kabir Khan or Sanjay Leela Bhansali's next, "Padmavati," alongside Ranveer Singh.
"Deepika and Ranveer are both excited about the film. They are both busy with their individual projects at the moment, but will see Bhansali soon to take the idea forward. Until then, the director will finish working on the script and the pre-production formalities," a source told Deccan Chronicle.
If they team up, it will be their third film together after "Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela" and "Bajirao Mastani," both of which were quite a rage at the box office.
This apart, she is also supposed to be one of the frontrunners for Saina Nehwal biopic. Before she left for Canada earlier this year, she had said how she would be delighted if she got to play the sportstar on the big screen.
"Her father has been a badminton player and I have seen her playing badminton. She used to play really good. She can do justice to the role and I really wish she can do the role," the Press Trust of India quoted Saina as saying.
