The spin-off series of The CW "Arrow" and "The Flash", "Legends of Tomorrow" -- which is set to premiere in January 2016, is going to be grander than either of its predecessors. From the looks of the new trailer, there is a lot more action, drama and time travelling in "LoT".
"DC's Legends of Tomorrow Trailer #2" was released on Monday, 23 November, a couple of months ahead of its premiere on 21 January, 2016. We saw each of the legends and a short recap of their journey in the trailer.
As fans already know, White Canary (Caity Lotz) and The Atom (Brandon Routh) were last seen in "Arrow" and both were seemingly dead for a while, before getting resurrected. While the White Canary remerged alive from the Lazarus Pit in Nanda Parbat, Ray was shrunk after an experiment went south. He was captured by Samian Darkh (Neal McDonough) before getting rescued by Oliver (Stephen Amell) and the rest of Team Arrow.

Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell) and Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) were villains in "The Flash", but in the last episode that Snart appeared in, he was tagged as the robber with a heart of gold. He has seemingly left Central City and will join the band of heroes he is not very fond of. Both halves of FIRESTORM, Dr Stein (Victor Garber) and the newer member Jax (Franz Drameh), will also be seen in "LoT".
Hawkgirl (Ciara Renee) is the newest member of DC universe in The CW, and she will join the legends too, along with her soul-mate Hawkman (Falk Hentschel). Although Kendra isn't aware of her powers and ability to reincarnate, we saw Cisco (Carlos Valdes) "vibing" her and seeing a vision of her in all her glory.
They will be joined by their coach, time traveller Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill), who used his charm and wit to cover up the stress of being responsible for history, and changing its course. There is an obvious confusion in the line-up he has chosen; Why not Batman or Superman or any other DC hero?

"I have seen Men of Steel die and Dark Knights fall," we here the shadowy figure of Vandal Savage (Casper Crump) say in the trailer. He is the Big Bad, the 6000-year-old immortal who caused many wars and rampages since the time he was born manipulating leaders so as to gain world dominance.
His ominous statement is not only a plug for DC's upcoming "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice", but also an answer as to why these seven heroes were chosen. The quote is also an brilliant Easter Egg that gave chills to us, comic book fans.
