Gauri Shinde's "Dear Zindagi" was announced in a unique way with Shah Rukh Khan addressing motivational letters to Alia Bhatt in a series of Twitter exchanges. But that was about it and there has been no update on the film ever since.
According to a Box office India report, "Dear Zindagi" trailer will be attached to the prints of Karan Johar's "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil," which is scheduled to open in theatres on Oct. 28. That is roughly a month ahead of "Dear Zindagi" release date — Nov. 25.
Interestingly, the makers of Hrithik Roshan's "Kaabil" are also planning to attach their film's trailer to "ADHM" and "Shivaay" to ensure that it gets a wider reach.
"Rakesh Roshan and Sanjay Gupta have plans to launch the theatrical trailer of the much-awaited film during Diwali this year. Reportedly, the trailer will be attached to the prints of 'Shivaay' and 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' - thus resulting in wider reach for the film," an insider informed Catch News.
What else do we know about "Dear Zindagi" and "Kaabil"?
The SRK, Alia-starrer is a story that has never been told before. In one of the media interactions, Alia said it feels great to end the year with a "Shah Rukh Khan film."
There have been reports that the superstar plays the young actress' life coach and has only a few-minute-long role in the film. But now it is also being said that SRK has a full-fledged role in this slice-of-life film; he is someone who helps Alia understand and approach life differently.
"Kaabil" is essentially a revenge drama, in which Hrithik plays a visually-impaired individual. Industry insiders say he has shot for a handful of stylised action sequences for the film. Directed by Sanjay Gupta, "Kaabil" also stars Yami Gautam in the lead.
