Dear Zindagi, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt, has completed 7 days at the box office with a pretty good collection. The film's domestic earning is very close to cross Rs 50 crore mark.
After having an excellent start at the Indian box office over the weekend, Dear Zindagi has been making decent business at the domestic market over the weekdays.
The movie has ended its 1st week at the domestic box office on Thursday with a total collection just little behind Rs 50 crore. Having released in 1200 screens, Dear Zindagi had collected Rs 32.05 crore nett at Indian box office in its first 3 days.
The film obviously witnessed a drop in its earning in the weekdays but it managed to keep the pace steady. Directed by Gauri Shinde, Dear Zindagi had made a business of Rs 4.25 crore on Monday, followed by Rs 4 crore on Tuesday and Rs 3.25 crore on Wednesday.
The Shah Rukh-starrer remained steady at the box office on Thursday as well. Dear Zindagi collected Rs 3 crore nett at the Indian box office on Thursday, taking its 7 days total collection to Rs 47 crore nett.
"#DearZindagi has a good week 1...Fri 8.75 cr, Sat 11.25 cr, Sun 12.50 cr, Mon 4.25 cr, Tue 4 cr, Wed 3.25 cr, Thu 3 cr. Total: 47 cr.," tweeted trade analyst Taran Adarsh. The film's collection is likely to witness a jump again over the 2nd weekend.
If the movie fails to cross the Rs 50 crore mark at the domestic market by the end of Friday, it will certainly achieve the feat on Saturday. Although Dear Zindagi has been running successfully in the theatres, release of Vidya Balan's Kahaani 2 on December 2 is likely to affect its collection in the coming days.
