Having released in 1,200 screens, Dear Zindagi has turned out to be one of the highest opening grossers of 2016. With the current pace, the film is likely to cross Rs 50 crore nett in the domestic market even before the end of its second weekend. The film has also been performing well in the overseas market.
This is the first time that Shah Rukh and Alia shared screen space but their onscreen chemistry clicked well with the audience. Positive reviews from the critics and strong word of mouth has further been working wonders for the movie at the box office.
However, Dear Zindagi might witness some competition at the commercial circuits after the release of Vidya Balan-starrer Kahaani 2 that will hit the screens on this Friday. Kahaani was a hit and fans are having a lot of expectations from the sequel.
