Easily one of the most successful movies in the history of Indian cinema, "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge" will complete its 1000-week run at Maratha Mandir, Mumbai on 12 December.
To mark the occasion, the makers have released a new trailer and according to reports lead pair Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol will be on the sets of "Comedy Nights with Kapil" to relive their experiences.
SRK, who considers the Aditya Chopra directorial to be his launch film, tweeted saying, "My favourite line in a film ever... "Nahin main nahi aaoonga...." DDLJ (ver 2.0 trailer reloaded)...I am so happy." Interestingly, Karan Johar, who featured in a small role as Raj's (Shah Rukh) friend Ponchi, thanked the film on Twitter. "The film that taught me everything I know about the movies," he posted.
The "Happy New Year" actor, while talking about the classic, had mentioned of a special celebration in the pipeline. "Aditya Chopra was planning something. We will take 15 minutes of unedited footage of the film. We will also watch the film together. There is lot of affection attached to the film. It's a special moment for sure. It's the second longest (running) film. I think the first was a Chinese film. Yes, we will have a celebration," IANS quoted him as saying.
Also, a few weeks ago, it was widely reported that Bollywood's most-loved onscreen couple will reunite on the sets of "CNWK" after Karan Johar's "My Name is Khan". The duo will reportedly shoot an exclusive episode with funnyman Kapil Sharma on 30 November at Film City, Mumbai.
Kajol, who steers clear from social networking, recently joined Twitter to promote the hand hygiene campaign she is part of. Strangely, the actress hasn't taken to the platform to express her joy over the film completing such a huge run at the theatres.
SRK and Kajol, have together churned six blockbusters, namely – ""Baazigar", "Karan Arjun", "DDLJ", "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai", "Kabhie Khushi Kabhi Gham" and "My Name is Khan".
