The second season of DC's Legends of Tomorrow will be little longer as CW has ordered for an additional four episodes for this comic inspired superhero show.
Last season, Legends of Tomorrow had received a 13-episode renewal for a second season as it was midseason entry. In addition to Legends of Tomorrow, all the CW superhero shows have full season orders, as Arrow and The Flash were renewed with 23-episodes seasons.
The order has come from CW as fans await the network's decision on its two new dramas, "Frequency" and "No Tomorrow."
This time-travel show has already been one of the stronger ratings performers for CW with strong time shifted viewing, averaging 2.3 million viewers and a 0.9 rating in the 18-49 demo in its second season.
The show has improved the Thursday 8pm time period from last fall, which was previously slotted with "The Vampire Diaries," by +13 percent among adults 18-49 and +35 percent in total viewers.
Legends of Tomorrow stars Brandon Routh, Victor Garber, Arthur Darvill, Dominic Purcell, Caity Lotz, Franz Drameh, Nick Zano, Amy Pemberton, Matt Letscher and Maisie Richardson-Sellers. It was developed by Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, Andrew Kreisberg and Phil Klemmer who is the executive producer of the show with Chris Fedak and Sarah Schechter.
Legends of Tomorrow airs Thursday nights on The CW.
