The Soojit Sircar-directed film has received overwhelming reviews from critics and viewers alike. Made on a budget of approximately Rs 26 crore, the film is expected to recover its total cost within a week.
By the end of its first weekend, Pink is expected to witness further growth in its domestic box office collection. The positive word-of-mouth publicity around the film is expected to help increase the footfall in theatres. Further, since Raaz Reboot, which was also released on the same day, has received negative reviews, movie-goers may opt for Pink instead of the Emraan Hashmi-starrer.
Although the box office collection of Pink on the opening day was lower than Raaz Reboot, the former has the potential to outdo the domestic box office collection of Raaz Reboot by the end of its first week.
Directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury and produced by Soojit, Pink is a courtroom drama-thriller. It is the story of three independent girls who get into trouble during a party. Bachchan plays the role of a lawyer, while others who play key roles in the film are Tapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari, Andrea Tariang, Piyush Mishra, Angad Bedi and Dhritiman Chatterjee.
