The work on Datsun's soon-to-be- launched redi-Go small hatchback seems to be going on at a rapid pace as the company has started shooting the TVC for the model, not long after the images of the model from a dealer stockyard hit the web.
A fresh batch of spy shots of the redi-Go has now hit the web and this time the car was caught on camera during a photoshoot in Ooty. In the latest images posted by Rushlane, the redi-Go is seen posing for the camera in its completely revealed avatar. The redi-Go, the third offering of Datsun, Nissan's low-cost brand, is expected to go on sale in India in the first week of June. The company is also expected to commence the delivery of the model in June and the bookings for the upcoming hatchback are already underway. The details and key specifications of Datsun's new offering are already out in the public.
For the uninitiated, the redi-Go is built on the same CMF-A platform of the Renault Kwid and measures 3,429mm in length, 1,560mm in width and 1,541mm in height. Under the bonnet, the redi-Go gets a 799cc three-cylinder petrol motor that churns out 53bhp and a peak torque of 72Nm, mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. It claimed to offer a fuel efficiency of 25.17kmpl.
The feature list of the new model from Datsun include 13-inch wheels an audio system with radio, CD, MP3, USB and aux-in connectivity. The redi-Go is expected to be priced in the range of Rs. 2.5 lakh to Rs. 3.5 lakh and will be offered in five exterior colour options — ruby red, white, silver, lime green, and grey.
