If the latest reports are anything go by, Datsun GO-Cross, the crossover from Nissan's low-cost car brand, is getting ready to make its India entry at the Auto Expo 2016.
Unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show 2015, Datsun GO-Cross, the third offering from the brand based on its GO hatchback platform, will be come in five-seater and seven-seater versions India, reports Financial Express. The company is likely to roll out the Datsun GO-Cross five-seater first in the country and the model is likely to get a price tag higher than its hatchback and MPV siblings.
Datsun GO-Cross is expected to get a hexagonal grille in line with other Datsun models, finished in black. The model gets a less boxy rear design as compared to the GO+ MPV. The tail lamps in the concept also feature LED strips inside the cluster. The other features expected include larger alloy wheels, roof rails and a roof-mounted spoiler.
On the design front of the GO-Cross, it is expected to get a higher ground clearance with skid plates in the front, rear and sides.
Datsun is also readying a small car, Redi-go, based on the CMF-A platform that has been developed in alliance with Renault. Expected to make its debut sometimes in 2016, the Redi-go will be powered by a three-cylinder petrol engine with five-speed manual transmission.
