Dark Souls 2 is returning with all new graphics, new levels, content and enemies under a new title, Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin. The revamped Dark Souls 2 is coming to the latest next-generation consoles, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 in April next year.
The re-release of Dark Souls II will come with additional in-game events, extra NPCs, deadlier enemies and overall gameplay improvements.
The enhanced Dark Souls II will come as a standalone release for PC, PlayStation 3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One on April 7, 2015. There is good news for existing PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 players too; the Scholar of the First Sin will be available as a free update, Namco Bandai and FromSoftware confirmed on Monday.
With the revised title, Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin supports increased number of players in the multiplayer mode. For PS3, Xbox 360, and DirectX 9 PCs, the Scholar of the First Sin includes three DLC chapters and a free update to version 1.10 will include "an additional NPC to seek out along the treacherous quest through Drangleic as well as expanded story, in-game events, improved balance, and online matchmaking functionality," IGN reported.
Sadly, the update to last-gen gamers will not bring graphics and sound improvements but the DirectX 11 for Windows allows the new graphics and improvements.
The game developers released a trailer to demonstrate the high-resolution graphics featured in the new Dark Souls 2. Watch the video below:
