"Daredevil" fans have been desperate to learn anything new about Season 2 of the Netflix series, starting with the premiere date. However, we have not had any such luck so far; there has been an air date floating around recently, which falls in March 2016.
Although it is not an official announcement from the "Daredevil" showrunners, this is the first we have heard of an actual date, and moreover, Netflix has not denied these rumours. As we know, Netflix generally announces the premiere dates for all its original series during trailers and teasers, and so, we will on the watch out for those for a confirmation.
Meanwhile, Den of Geek has procured some stills from Season 2 of "Daredevil", and they feature Elodie Yung's Elektra. These are the first clear stills of Jon Bernthal as the Punisher, and show him holding a gun as a defeated-looking Charlie Cox's Daredevil is chained to a chimney.
This still is in clear agreement with the news that Season 2 of "Daredevil" is refferred to as "Daredevil vs The Punisher".
A new promo for the upcoming season also suggests the entry of Luke Cage into Hell's Kitchen. We already know the superhero who appeared in Netflix's "Jessica Jones" will get his own show soon, but it looks like the character will be further explored in "Daredevil".
According to the short teaser, it looks like Cage will be taking over Josie's Bar, which is a favourite hangout for the "Daredevil" crew.
Another exciting thing to expect from the upcoming season is the return of Stick (Scott Glenn), who only appeared in a single episode of Season 1. He is the surrogate father who taught Matt Murdock everything he knows. The martial arts master will hopefully unleash his special brand of "badassery", as showrunner Marco Ramirez put it in an interview with Design and Trend.
