Police in South Africa have arrested a Danish man after 21 pieces of female genitalia were discovered in his freezer. Officers from the Free State province arrived at the mans house after a female reported being attacked there.
The woman claimed she was drugged by the 58-year-old and had her genitalia cut off while she was unable to defend herself. Police spokesman Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi told the Associated Press officers found the 21 pieces of female genitalia inside bags at his home.
Police also discovered anaesthetic, surgical tools and a series of photos at the address during the search. The woman who reported the crime is also said to be the suspects wife. The man is due to appear in court on suspicion of series of sexual assaults. Police are also appealing for any other possible victims to come forward to help with the investigation.
Police said any motive is not known and forensic experts are trying to establish if the parts came from 21 different woman. It is not known how the assaults were committed or if the women involved are dead or alive.
According to South African media, the suspect is a gun shop owner in the city of Bloemfontein in the central Free State province.
