Aamir Khan's Dangal continued to make good collection at the China and Taiwan box office on its 20th day and has taken its global total closer to the total worldwide collection of Prabhas' Baahubali 2 (Bahubali: The Conclusion).
Released on May 5, the Aamir Khan starrer kept the cash registers ringing at the ticket counters across China and Taiwan on its third Wednesday. Dangal collected approximately Rs 20 crore gross together at the China and Taiwan box office on its 20th day. Its total collections now stand at Rs 793 crore in China and Rs 34 crore in Taiwan.
Dangal, which was released in India and 40 other foreign countries on December 23, 2016, has collected Rs 744 crore gross at the worldwide box office in its lifetime. Baahubali 2 is estimated to have collected over Rs 10 crore at the worldwide box office on its fourth Wednesday, taking its 27-day total collection to Rs 1,595 crore gross in the global market.
Early trends show that Baahubali 2 is likely to collect Rs 10 crore at the worldwide box office on its fourth Thursday. The movie is set to cross the mark of Rs 1,600 crore gross in the global market on its 28th day. Its four-week total collection is likely to reach Rs 1,605 crore gross in the global market.
The collection of Baahubali 2 will further go down in its fifth week, as its screen count will be reduced by new releases from various Indian language movies. On other hand, Dangal is expected to maintain its pace of collection at China and Taiwan box office and surpass the total worldwide collection of Baahubali 2 with a big margin in its fourth week.
