Fans of Aamir Khan are excited as the trailer of Dangal is out. But there is a section of people who are willing to boycott the movie.
The much awaited trailer of Dangal is out and thus #Dangalvar and #DangalTrailer started trending on Twitter. However, #LetsBoycottDangal also became one of the top trending hashtags on the micro-blogging site.
Apparently, the hatred against Aamir from a certain section of people is due to his earlier comment on "rising intolerance" in India. Aamir had said that he was alarmed by the situation then and his wife Kiran Rao had also once feared for the safety of her child in the country.
This comment from the actor had received much attention and mixed responses. While some had supported Aamir's views, some others had slammed the actor calling him a hypocrite and an anti-national. Looks like the call for boycotting Dangal is an aftermath of his controversial statement.
Aamir not taking any stand after the Uri terror attack also raised some eyebrows. While some of the tweets urged people to boycott Dangal for his intolerance remark, some others expressed angst at the actor not making any comment on the Uri attack, which killed 20 soldiers of the Indian Army. However, some of the fans of the actor lashed out at the anti-Aamir brigade saying that the call to boycott Dangal is baseless.

Nevertheless, the trailer of Dangal looks impressive and it is likely to receive positive response from the audience. The film is slated to be released on December 23. Dangal is a biopic on wrestler Mahaveer Singh Phogat and his two daughters, who are also wrestlers.
