Aamir Khan's Dangal has beaten the total collection of Baahubali 2 (Bahubali 2) at the worldwide box office and inched closer to Rs. 1700 crore gross mark. Aamir's movies always create a huge buzz, thanks to their creative storylines.
After Dangal's success, the perfectionist is busy with another big movie – Thugs of Hindostan. It is said to be larger than life like Baahubali. The movie features Aamir, Amitabh Bachchan, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Katrina Kaif in pivotal roles.
Will it be able to win hearts like Dangal? Aamir seemed to have pierced his nose for the movie. Thugs of Hindostan is set during the pre-Independence India (during the 1830s) and will showcase the lives of the notorious thugs who torture and murder travellers for their valuables. The movie is set to be released during Diwali 2018.
However, the story looks promising; do you think Thugs of Hindostan will have the same potential as Dangal? Aamir's recent flick broke Baahubali 2's lifetime record. People didn't imagine this day will come, but Aamir's Chinese fans made his movie the highest grosser of this year.
Now, Baahubali 2 might also be released in China, but it might not repeat Dangal's success. Aamir has been releasing his films in China since Dhoom 3 to great response.
It remains to be seen whether China will shower love on Thugs of Hindostan as well. Before that, Aamir's upcoming movie has to do wonders at the domestic market. Beware Baahubali makers! Another Aamir's movie is on the way and it might break one of the records set by the franchise.
