Week 3 of ABC's dancing reality show Dancing with the Stars saw yet another contestant getting eliminated, but this time it wasn't a shocking one.
The former Governor of Texas was sent home at the end of the night, after falling into the danger zone. It was the perfect time for Perry to go as he is going to be busy with his daughter's wedding in the coming weeks.
"My daughter's getting married the 15th of October, but I can promise you I will look good on the dance floor for her," Perry, 66, said after the elimination. "And I'm dong it for all the veterans out there and I hope everybody will find a great veteran's cause to go help these guys. We've got one called Advance the Colors that I hope everyone will go take a look at. Thank you guys!"
While Perry will definitely be missed on the show, the upcoming few weeks will see another person missing in action. Dancing with the Stars host Tom Bergeron revealed that Len Goodman will not be a part of the show for a few weeks due to his commitments on Britain's Strictly Come Dancing.
"It's difficult to fly every week there and back," Goodman explained. "I'm going to miss it because I've enjoyed so much watching the progression. But I'm going to be well-informed of what's going on. Make sure that – it's a ballroom dancing competition, it's not all about razzle dazzle. Show us some proper ballroom dancing."
Dancing with the Stars airs Mondays and Tuesdays on ABC. New episodes of the show can be watched online on abc.com or abc.go.com.
