Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump could be waltzing on the ballroom floor in the upcoming season of popular dancing show "Dancing with the Stars," according to a new report.
The dancing reality show is supposedly keen to rope in Trump for Season 23, and according to a new HollywoodLife report, he hasn't rejected the offer yet. "They really want someone political on the show, especially this season being so close to the election," a source told the portal. "They have always wanted Bill Clinton and will obviously never get him but they always ask. And they asked Donald Trump to see if he would be interested to do the show even while running for President."
Trump's ex Marla Maples was a contestant in the previous season of the show.
"They would have loved this season to grab him for many reasons especially coming off of a season with his ex Marla Maples being on the show," the insider continued. "But they haven't got a response and always expected a "No." In the producer's eyes it was worth asking."
The final cast of the show will be announced on "Good Morning America" on Tuesday, Aug. 30. The dancing reality show will begin on Monday, Sept 12 at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC. Other contestants who are rumoured to be a part of Season 23 include Ryan Lochte, "The Bachelorette" star JoJo Fletcher, "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Teresa Giudice, "General Hospital" actress Emma Samms, model and actress Amber Rose, and "The Fosters" star Jake T. Austin.
"All the rumors are true for JoJo, Jake and Emma," an insider told HollywoodLife. "They have all been asked and are doing the show." However, a representative for ABC declined to confirm the news, saying, "we never comment on rumor or speculation."
As for the professional dancers who will be taking part in Season 23, ABC announced that Val Chmerkovskiy, Witney Carson, Sharna Burgess, Artem Chigvintsev, Lindsay Arnold, Allison Holker, Sasha Farber and Gleb Savchenko will be returning. Val's brother Maksim is also rumoured to be a part of Season 23.
