Although it is not yet known when "Dance Moms" season 6 will be aired, fans of the show are perhaps happy that filming for the latest season is underway. For the past few weeks, dance coach Abby Lee Miller has posted a slew of photos and videos on her Instagram account. And as any coach, she is thrilled for her prodigies.
However, we couldn't help but notice that Abby Lee Miller's most touted student, Maddie Ziegler has been absent from the first three episodes of "Dance Moms" season 6.
The 13-year-old dancer neither confirmed nor denied about joining the cast in season 6, but she did take part in a promotional event for the upcoming season. News of her presence in the promotional event raised hopes that Maddie would indeed dance along other cast members such as Kendall Vertes, Nia Frasier and Kalani Hilliker. Nevertheless, there's been a no show from the dance prodigy.
Although the reality show will sorely miss star dancer Maddie, the rest of the team at Abby Lee Miller's Dance Company have stamped their prowess on stage. Abby's team has performed consistently and has been placed at number 1 for solos and group dance performances.
At "Devotion 2 Dance" in California on Sunday, 25 October, ALDC's group hip-hop dance performance was placed first in the teen division. Furthermore, Kendall Vertes won the first place for her jazz solo "All Eyes on Me" and her team mate, JoJo Siwa was placed second in the speciality preteen division for her solo "I'll Show You the Dark Side," reported "Dance Moms" spoiler site.
Maddie Ziegler, who is currently filming "Book of Henry" in New York has been absent from season 6. Christian Today claimed that the young dancer might excuse herself from more episodes on "Dance Moms," because of her commitment to the film and an opportunity to star in singer Sia's new video.
