For fans of Lifetime's reality TV show "Dance Moms", it is a relief that season 6 is well underway. Earlier, the reports suggested that the show might get cancelled amid rumours that Lifetime's producers and dance coach Abby Lee Miller are locked in a battle concerning funds. Nevertheless, Miller posted several pictures from season 6's auditions on her Instagram account, confirming that show will go on.
According to "Dance Moms" spoiler site, the ALDC junior elite team travelled to Calabasas to take part in the New York Dance Experience as part of season 6 episode 2. However, Miller's group of dancers didn't perform very well this time around.
"Dance Moms" season 6 cast members Kendall Vertes, Mackenzie Ziegler and Nia Frazer's solos failed to impress the judges. However, Miller perhaps found relief when her ALDC LA team was placed first in the senior division for their contemporary dance performance, "Hungry Like the Wolves." Even then, the team won second place overall. Nonetheless, Abby posted a picture of the team on her Instagram account and said they always make her proud.
It is possible the ALDC team is suffering from a low morale after their dance coach Abby Miller was indicted for bankruptcy fraud. In addition to this, "Dance Moms" star Maddie Ziegler was absent from both episodes of "Dance Moms" season 6.
The dance prodigy, who is in New York filming her movie "The Book of Henry", has not yet confirmed or denied that she will take part in the latest season. Nevertheless, the star posted a picture on her Instagram account, asking fans to vote for her and help her get through the second round of People's Choice Awards.
Lifetime's producers are yet to make an official statement on season 6's premiere date.
