In the latest episode of "Da Vinci's Demons", titled "Anima Venator", it seems that after being tortured by Carlo, Leonardo is finding it hard to recover from the paranoia and is still suffering from it.

According to the synopsis of the episode, a paranoid Leonardo becomes shut off from his friends, while an endangered Lucrezia searches for a way to make amends for her sins.
Leonardo escapes from Carlo's prison and meets Zoroaster. Together they return to Florence. Meanwhile, Lucrezia hunts for Lupo Mercuri in order to get information regarding the whereabouts of the Book of Leaves.
Elsewhere, when the authorities discover that Lorenzo is keeping a group of young women prisoner underneath his house, he is imprisoned alongside them. Besides, Lorenzo is revealed to be working in a Turkish forced labour camp.
Leonardo experiments with improved explosives designed to counter the Turkish tanks, but finds it unable to damage a captured piece of Turkish armour. Afterwards, it is revealed that the armour has supernatural properties and belongs to Vlad the Impaler.
Late that night, Leonardo finds that Captain Dragonetti has been murdered and chases down the killer, who is revealed to be Riario. However, while chasing him, Leonardo has another attack of paranoia that leaves him unconscious.
In the previous episode titled "The Labrys", Carlo's attempt to programme Leonardo into becoming "one" with the Labyrinth led him to slip into an alternate reality that almost took Leonardo's life.
Carlo injected Leonardo with a drug that made him hallucinate about a life where he had been married to Lucrezia. Leonardo also had a son with her in that life.
Whether Leonardo will be able to overcome his paranoia and find Riario will be seen only in the next episode.
