D-Link, one of the world's top networking infrastructure provider, marked its 27th year of delivering innovative, high-performance enabled products with the launch of its latest outdoor surveillance camera, the DCS-7513, last week.
The DCS-7513 HD camera uses a fusion of a Precision-Iris (P-Iris) lens along with a wide dynamic range (WDR) technology. This combination ensures that the light conditions are enhanced leading to reduction in silhouette or 'wash-out' effects.
This automated feature of image enhancement outplays the issues one can face while recording in complex areas involving depth and width, like long corridors or large car parks. It also ensures sufficient and appropriate image and video capture in areas where there is uneven light.
Andrew Mulholland, Business Solutions Manager at D-Link UK & Ireland, said, "IP Surveillance is essential for a range of businesses, but not all premises and surrounding conditions are the same. Our latest WDR camera gives businesses, including showrooms, hotels and leisure centres, a surveillance solution designed for their specific environments. The DCS-7513 brings the latest technology features to businesses of any size, in a way that can be easily deployed, integrated and managed."
The key features of the surveillance camera include: Full HD Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) to ensure perfect picture balance, P-Iris lens to provide finer contrast and clearer picture, full HD round the clock operation, infra-red (IR) range of 30 metres enabling recording even in complete darkness, and Power over Ethernet (PoE) which makes installation easier through the networking connection.
The device also boasts other additional features such as bandwidth efficient streaming leading to compressed files which can be adjusted in real-time to optimise performance, the plug and play operation which connects it with any network (wired or wireless), motion detection through timer, remote access to the camera and a two-way audio feature.
D-Link as a company has designed and manufactured award-winning wireless, networking, security, IP surveillance and storage solutions. D-Link delivers its extensive range of networking products to organisations and consumers through its global network of channel partners and service providers.
