The results for Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2014, conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), has been declared.
Where to Check Results?
CBSE had already announced that the results for the test will be declared on or before 21 March 2014. Accordingly, the results were declared on Friday. Candidates can check their results online HERE. The results will be sent in hard copy from 21 April, 2014 onwards.
CBSE had conducted the CTET exam on 16 February 2014 and approximately 8.26 lakh teachers had taken the test across India. For the first time, the board had released the answer keys for the exam prior to the official announcement of the results. To check the answer keys, click HERE.
In a statement, the board said that the answer key was released "in order to ensure complete transparency in examination process and to bring confidence in the candidates and other stake holders and has decided to upload the images of the OMR sheets of the candidates along with the information of the languages and subject (Maths & Science or Social Science) attempted by the candidates in Paper-I and/or Paper-II as applicable."
Candidates who had appeared for the CTET exam will be issued marks statement and those who have scored 60 percent and above marks will be given eligibility certificate.
The CTET qualifying certificate issued to eligible candidates will be valid for seven years from the date of the declaration of the results. Aspirants can make any number of attempts to get the CTET certificate. Those who are already eligible and have the certificate can also make repeated attempts to improve their scores.

Applicability of CTET Certificate
The CTET has two papers two papers - Paper 1 and Paper 2. Those who clear paper 1 are qualified for teaching classes from I to V and the candidates who clear paper 2 are eligible to take classes for VII to VIII class students.
Candidates who have completed both the papers are qualified to teach classes from I to VIII.
The CTET is applicable to schools of the Central Government (KVS, NVS, Central Tibetan Schools, etc.) and schools under the administrative control of Union Territory's of Chandigarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu and Andaman & Nicobar Islands and NCT of Delhi, according to the official website.
The scores might also be considered by unaided private schools as well as state government aided schools.
