Criminal Case, the crime scene investigation game from Pretty Simple has, topped Facebook's 2013 list of best games.
The game was announed the winning title by developer relations of Facebook, A.J. Glasser, on the Facebook developer blog.
Criminal Case is among the most popular games, where players should find a list of items hiding in jig-jaw like puzzle until they are stuck, before friends send them more energy.
Criminal Case's "visceral artwork" attracts players towards it. The game's content update has them going and even brings back some who left, a case study conducted by Facebook found out. Its Open Graph stories has been an important part of the game's success story. The game is more like a chapter wherein players explore different lines of enquiry, gather evidence which help to nail the killer. It was able to attract seven million daily active users within six months of its launch and more than 25 million were monthly active users.
Some of the 'Best New Games of 2013' are Bake Shop Drop, Farm Heroes Saga, Hear of Vegas, Jelly Splash and many more have been listed. The '2013 Hall of Fame' was given to Candy Crush Saga, DoubleDown Casino, FarmVille 2 and Sltomania.
"As the Facebook games ecosystem continues to grow and diversify in 2013, we've seen strong performance from international game developers based out of Europe, the rise of cross-platform games on both web and mobile, and breakout hardcore game hits," the post reads.
