Cricketer Suresh Raina Ties the Knot with Priyanka Chowdhary; MS Dhoni, Sakshi, Anupam Kher, N. Srinivasan and Others Attend [INSIDE PHOTOS]

Cricketer Suresh Raina tied the knot with childhood sweetheart Priyanka Chowdhary in Delhi on early Saturday. 

The marriage took place on Saturday at Leela Palace, Delhi. The couple exchanged the wedding vows as per traditional Hindu customs in the presence of their relatives and close friends.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and Member of Parliament Jyotiraditya Scindia attended the wedding in Delhi.

Indian team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni had come along with wife Sakshi, International Cricket Council Chairman N. Srinivasan, Irfan Pathan, Ishant Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Raina's Chennai Super Kings teammate Dwayne Bravo and coach Stephen Fleming, veteran actor Anupam Kher and television actress Shweta Tiwari were among others who attended the function.

"On my way to Delhi to attend @ImRaina's wedding. Looking forward to it," Anupam Kher tweeted. 

Earlier, in an interview with The Times of India, Suresh had revealed the guest list and the wedding venue.

"We have chosen the venue in Delhi since I have lots of friends here. Virat (Kohli), Shikhar (Dhawan), Ishant (Sharma) aur meri UP ki team ke bahut saare players hain, jo sab aa rahe hain. Some of my friends from Lucknow, London and Dubai, and my entire cricket team, will be coming here. It's just a get-together," he had told TOI.

According to reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also sent his best wishes to the cricketer.

"Raina has received a letter of blessings from our honourable Prime Minister. The invitation was sent to the Prime Minister as Raina was nominated by Mr. Modi for the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan," a source said, according to IBNLive.

Meanwhile, the cricketer got engaged to Priyanka 1 April in the presence of family members. On Thursday, a pre-wedding bash was held that was attended by his friends and Bollywood celebrities.

Arjun Rampal, Punjabi rapper Roger David who is better known by his stage name Bohemia, and others attended the pre-wedding bash.
