The trailer of Bipasha Basu's horror flick, "Creature 3D" is officially out.
The monster thriller film is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar and co-produced by Ajay Kapoor under the banner of T-Series. Featuring Basu and Pakistani actor Imran Abbas in the lead roles, the movie is directed by dramatic horror flick writer, Vikram Bhatt.
"Creature 3D" is India's first 3D monster thriller film and is intended to scare the audience with a massive creature, which has been crafted using visual effects.
The science-fiction movie is Bhatt's second 3D film after "Haunted" (2011). Judging from its two- minute trailer, though, it appears that the director's previous horror films, including "Haunted 3D" and "Raaz 3D" were far better than "Creature 3D", which marks the debut of actor Abbas.
The makers had earlier claimed to maintain the standards of Hollywood flicks by using state-of-the-art visual effects. However, from the promo, it appears that they failed to live up to their promise of horrifying the viewers, who now have a better chance of enjoying the Arjun Kapoor- Deepika Padukone comedy "Finding Fanny", which is also set to release on the same day.
The film definitely is a bold attempt by the makers, who chose to make an unusual computer graphics movie over regular Bollywood masala movies.
The film is slated to release on 12 September. It was earlier scheduled for 27 June release, but got delayed due to work on VFX. Moreover, the makers of the film did not want to collide their thriller film with Ajay Devgn's "Singham Returns" which releases on 15 August.
"It's a mega-budget film for both Bhushan and me. We had to push forward the release by two weeks because Ajay Devgn's Singham Returns' opens on Aug 15 and we didn't want to come within a week of its release," India Today quoted Bhushan earlier.
This is the third time Bhatt has teamed up with the Bong beauty after the success of their first horror flick, "Raaz" (2002) for which, Basu was nominated for the Filmfare Award for best actress. They later worked together in "Aetbar" (2004) and "Raaz 3D" (2012), both of which, faired well at the Box Office.
