We have seen quite a few secondary characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe appear in "Marvel's Agents of Shield." Several references to what is going on in the films are present within the Netflix shows, "Daredevil" and "Jessica Jones." In such a scenario where "everything is connected," would it be unwarranted to assume that some of the superheroes from the TV shows could show up in the two-part "Avengers: Infinity War"?
When BadTaste.it asked that question on the European press tour for "Captain America: Civil War," writers/directors of both the film and the two-part "Infinity War" said:
"The Marvel Universe is sprawling — the Marvel Cinematic Universe is enormous. Just think of all the characters that haven't been introduced yet that are going to be introduced by the time that we're working on Infinity War," Joe Russo said. "We have a tough task just telling the stories of the characters who exist [on the big screen] in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, let alone adding the entire Marvel Television universe."
However, the director added: "Anything is possible in the Marvel Universe. It's certainly something we're considering," he teased. "But our focus is on telling the stories of the characters that currently exist on the movie side."
With the Marvel TV and Netflix collaborations, "Daredevil" and "Jessica Jones," already establishing a hug fan base, and with shows like "Luke Cage," "Iron Fist," and possibly even the team-up adventure, "The Defenders," lined up for release this year, we are sure that the Avengers team would welcome these characters to join them in the battle against the mighty Thanos.
"Avengers: Infinity War Part 1" will be released in May 2018 while the Part 2 will come out a year later — in May 2019.
