Coolpad's revolutionary smartphone Dazen 1 reached 1 lakh registrations on Snapdeal, India's largest online marketplace, in one week. The handset is seeing demand from across the country.
Dazen 1 is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor coupled with 2GB of RAM along with 8GB of built –in storage. It sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with a f/2.2 lens and LED flash. It also features a 5-megapixel FF front camera. It is backed by a 2500mAh battery, along with extended battery up to 50%.
The phone is available in sand stone black and baby snow-white colours. Backed by rigorous R&D, Dazen phone will have extended battery up to 50% with patented technology. The handset is competitively priced at ₹6999, the most popular category which makes the largest chunk of the market.
Commenting on the success, Varun Sharma, CEO, Coolpad India, said, "As a new brand just entering India, we are overwhelmed with the huge response from our customers. We have crossed more than 100,000 registrations in such a short time.
"We are really trying hard to get as many units as we can to meet the demand we are seeing. I believe what's really working here is the combination of great specs at an affordable price, along with our game-changing innovation on battery life. Additionally, having 275+ services centers on day 1 of the launch is building confidence on our new brand," Sharma said.
Recently, Coolpad also announced Dazen X7. The handset packs a 5.2" FHD display, 13MP f/1.8 rear camera and 8MP front shooter. The phone runs on true Octa-core 1.7 GHz, with 2GB RAM, and 16GB storage, and is powered by a 2700mAh battery, along with extended battery up to 50%. The phone will be available in Gold and Titanium white colours.
"We have seen a phenomenal response to Coolpad's maiden launch in India with Dazen1 pre-launch registrations crossing the 1 lakh mark in record time. The registration numbers continue to grow at a very fast pace and we are looking forward to a blockbuster response to the Flash sale. As Coolpad's exclusive partner in India, we are committed to making it the most sought after smartphone brand in India," said Karan Khara, VP Strategic Alliances, Snapdeal.
