Coolpad has made its presence felt in the budget smartphone segment time and again and with the launch of its latest Note 5 smartphone on Friday, the company has set some pretty high benchmarks. Coolpad Note 5 has some interesting specs and features that are offered at a competitive price.
Coolpad announced that the all-new Note 5 will be available exclusively on Amazon India starting October 20 in an open sale. The smartphone is priced at Rs. 10,999, which makes it a direct competitor to handsets like Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 (Rs. 11,999), LeEco Le 2 (Rs. 11,999) and Lenovo Vibe K5 Note (Rs. 11,999).
Besides the disruptive price of the Note 5, there are some features that make it stand out in the crowd.
Design
Many phones in this price range have metal design, and Coolpad isn't going to be left out in the cold. Following the company's signature design, the Note 5 features a full metal unibody with a 5.5-inch display that has 78 percent screen-to-body ratio. The high resolution of 1920x1080 pixels brings out the colours and compliments the handset's design with its edge-to-edge finish and a 2.5D curved glass.
Camera
Coolpad has focused on the camera bit in its Note 5, so users have a premium photography experience. The rear camera has a 13MP lens with f/2.2 aperture, CMOS sensor, 5P Lens and dual LED flash. On the front, there is an 8MP snapper with 5P Lens, f/2.2 aperture and an LED flash to take good selfies even in the dark. Coolpad Note 5 packs a large 4,010mAh battery, which the company claims to last 14 hours talk time. The handset supports Quick Charge, which is essential for a battery this large.
4G+VoLTE
While it is important to stay with the trend, Coolpad Note 5 supports 4G LTE as well as VoLTE. In simple words, this smartphone would not require Jio4GVoice to make free HD calls if you are using Jio network.
