Coolpad and LeEco's partnership has brought fruitful results, even though the companies have launched just one handset so far. But it is just the beginning. As the rumours suggest, both the companies are planning to launch a new smartphone under their Cool series.
Succeeding the Cool1 Dual, LeEco and Coolpad's first joint smartphone, the companies are working on a new device simply known as "Cool". The handset passed China's certification site TENAA, revealing key specs spotted by GizmoChina.
The website also showed the design of the phone, which looks a lot like LeEco's Le Pro 3 with minor changes. The front design is pretty simple with an edge-to-edge display and the rear has the antenna lines running parallel at the top and the bottom. There is a camera module accompanied by an LED flash just above the fingerprint scanner.
Finally, the handset has the Cool logo printed towards the bottom along with a tagline, which says LeEco inside. It only means the handset will come bundled with LeEco's content ecosystem.
As per the listing, the specs of the Cool smartphone are as follows:
Display: 5.5-inch Full HD
Camera: 16MP primary camera with LED flash, 8MP front snapper
Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 821
RAM: 4GB/6GB
Storage: 32GB/64GB/128GB
Software: Android 6.0 Marshmallow
Battery: 4,000mAh
With these specs, the handset will compete against the premium budget flagships such as OnePlus 3T, LeEco Le Pro 3, and others. The pricing of the Cool smartphone is still a mystery, but we can easily expect it to cost under Rs. 30,000.
