Coolpad, the Chinese smartphone company, is rumoured to be all set to launch its budget smartphone Dazen Note 3 in India on October 8. Though Coolpad launched Dazen Note 3 in August, 2015 in China, the smartphone company is tipped to release the device in India now to grab the advantage of the upcoming festive season.
Coolpad Dazen Note 3 flaunts a 5.5-inch, 720 x 1280 pixels display and runs on an Android Kitkat 4.4 operating system overlaid with homemade interface, Cool UI 6.0. The device also comes with dual SIM slots with 4G-LTE connectivity along with 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS / AGPS, WLAN, Bluetooth 4.0 and a micro USB port.
Under the hood, Coolpad Dazen Note 3 packs a 1.3GHz octa core 64-bit MediaTek MT6753 processor which combines a Mali-T720 MP2 GPU. The device features 2GB RAM and is also purported to come with a 3GB RAM variant.
The Dazen Note 3 comes with 16GB in-built storage along with a micro SD card slot, expandable up to 64GB. It also comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera sensor with LED flash and a 5-megapixel camera for clicking selfies. The device packs a fingerprint sensor and is powered by a 3000 mAh battery. The Dazen Note 3 measures 151 x 7 x 9.3mm mm and weighs 155 grams.
Though the official facebook page of Coolpad has mentioned the Dazen Note 3 will be an Amazon exclusive, it is tight-lipped on the pricing of the device. However, if rumours are to be believed, the Coolpad Dazen Note 3 is expected to be priced under Rs. 10,000.
For that price, Coolpad Dazen Note 3 will be the first under Rs. 10,000 smartphone to feature a fingerprint sensor. But the display and the operating system is a let down compared to Lenovo K3 Note, ASUS Zenfone 2 Selfie and Yu Yureka Plus. All the three smartphones are available under Rs. 10,000 and feature Full HD (1080P) display and run on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop operating system.
