The wait is almost over as Coolpad will finally end the mystery behind its upcoming "Beast" of a smartphone on Friday, September 30, at a launch event in New Delhi. So far, the Chinese smartphone maker has maintained a surprisingly good secrecy and built a strong anticipation for its upcoming phone.
While the company isn't giving away anymore more than a few teasers that hint at the possible specs, we have witnessed some leaked information slip out of the mystery box. Firstly, the name of the smartphone has remained unknown, but a recent leak on Zauba, an import and export tracking website, revealed a handset named Coolpad Note 5.
We are guessing that is what the handset will be called at launch. But the company has only launched Coolpad Note 3, which means the upcoming smartphone will skip a number. But all the teasers shared from the company's official Twitter handle have the number 5, which is a clear indication.
Besides the name, there have been some takes on what the Coolpad Note 5 might offer and rumours suggest a 5.5-inch Full HD display, a Snapdragon 617 processor, 4GB RAM and 32GB storage. The mystery handset is expected to feature a 16MP primary camera with LED flash and an 8MP front snapper also with an LED flash, which was hinted in one of the teasers.
It is also predictable that the new Coolpad smartphone will be exclusively available on Amazon India. But like other rumoured details, nothing is confirmed until the company officially confirms them at the launch event.
