Heartbreaks seem to have taken over Bollywood. After Farhan and Adhuna Akhtar announced their split, rumours of Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli calling it quits also surfaced.

Although there's no way to confirm their current relationship status, a Mumbai Mirror report states that the sports star apparently took to the dance floor at Angad Bedi's birthday bash announcing "I'm single, let's dance."

The insider, who seems to know crucial information about what led to the break-up, told the leading daily that news of Kohli wanting to win back Sharma weren't true. "All rumours about Virat trying to woo Anushka back are hogwash. He unfollowed her on Twitter and Instagram and then, uploaded, deleted and reuploaded a photograph of himself, originally captioned, 'Heartbroken'," the source further added. 

Also, another interesting revelation from one of the guests at the party was that the cricketer was "cloistered around his controlling girlfriend." This narrative doesn't match what was being reported earlier. The "Sultan" actress apparently turned down her beau's marriage proposal as she has a lot on her plate (work-wise) now. 

"Virat proposed marriage around New Year's Eve. Anushka rejected it, categorically stating that it would be better for them to focus on their careers instead. They are both young and have a long journey ahead of them," the insider added.

Given the fact that they lead such busy lives, will the two tide over these minor issues and continue with their relationship or is the gap too wide to be bridged? Only time will tell.
