In Episode 9 titled "A Kingdom Divided Against Itself" of The CW's miniseries "Containment," a chaos will erupt after authorities forcefully try to take Thomas outside the fence.
The synopsis of the episode stated by Spoiler TV reads: "Tension will run high inside the cordon and angry protesters will take to the streets in an attempt to break free. Even Jana's best friend Suzy wants to bust through the barricade."
In the meantime, Dr Lommers (Claudia Black) and Major Lex (David Gyasi) will get trapped as they won't be able to find a way out of the quarantine. Though they want to do something for the people stuck in the mayhem outside, they are unable to do so.
Elsewhere, Jake (Chris Wood) will do his best to lighten up Katie's (Kristen Gutoskie) mood in the hospital by taking her on a date. However, much to their horror, soon they will realise that several of Katie's students were missing from the hospital and Katie will feel responsible for not taking enough care of them.
Meanwhile, Leo (Trevor St. John) is actively on the trail of finding the origins of the virus and will get a significant lead on his investigation when he will come across the person who is responsible for the plague.
In the previous episode titled "There is a Crack in Everything," Leo discovered that Dr Cannerts (George Young) was behind the creation and distribution of the deadly virus. He found out that Thomas, a young boy who was mistaken to be immune to the disease, was not immune at all and was actually a carrier of the virus that got one of the doctors sick.
