Pointing out the unrest in Kashmir- which has seen a rise in riots and stone pelting, Congress MP and representative of the Guna constituency of Madhya Pradesh, Jyotiraditya Scindia questioned PM Modi on what he has done for the youth in the Valley.
Anti-Romeo squads
The anti-Romeo squad in UP harass the youth, Scindia said. "This is the exact thought process and policy of the BJP government," he added.
Dalit Community
Congress said while the BJP government inaugurates Ambedkar Bhavan in London, 50 Dalit families in Uttar Pradesh are facing persecution.
Referring to four Dalit men who were flogged in Una by cow vigilantes for skinning dead cows, Congress said BJP believes "Jo hua, woh acha hua"(Whatever happened, happened for good). The grand old party also alleged that BJP wants to eliminate Dalits and tribals from India.
According to Scindia, BJP is following the policy of "maximum government and minimum governance" and not vice versa.
The Congress also touched upon the suffering of the farmers. "The farmers are in deep distress but instead of focussing on these important matters the BJP is paying attention to emotional issues," said Sachin Pilot, another member of the Congress.
Pilot said while Congress had taken efforts to waive the loans of many small scale farmers, the BJP government has failed to provide any relief to the farmers.
Security of women
Congress pointed out that the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) data has shown a 22.2 percent rise in rapes in India. They said while the Congress president and vice president reached out to the family of Nirbhaya rape victim, the Chief Minister of Haryana has not yet paid a visit to the family of the Rohtak rape victim.
Scindia summed up the Congress' impression of the BJP government thus: "Teen Saal, Desh Behaal. Yahi hai Bhajpaa ka kamaal" (The country's condition has deteriorated in three years of BJP rule)
