For the past several months, speculations have been doing the rounds that Karan Mehra, who plays the male lead role on "Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai," has quit the show. But the actor had been denying the reports.
However, according to a latest report, Karan, whose character of Naitik Singhania became a household name, has quit the show apparently due to serious health issues. "In the past, there have been reports of Karan leaving the show, but this time he is actually exiting from the series. Talks were on with the makers from quite some time. Karan's doctor has advised him to look after his health and take rest or else he might have to face some fatal health issues in future. Thus, with a heavy heart, he has taken the call to finally bid goodbye to YRKKH," a source told Tellychakkar.com.
Karan shot his last episode on Friday, June 10 and has also announced his exit to his millions of fans worldwide through a video on his Facebook page. In the video, the actor expressed his gratitude towards his fans for the loved they have showered on him for the past seven years.
The actor's wife and actress Nisha Rawal too took to her Facebook page to share about Karan's dedication towards his profession and how he became the viewers' favourite actor Naitik.
Meanwhile, it was reported that the upcoming track of "Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai" would see Naitik getting kidnapped by Naman (Anshul Pandey). This sequence will also mark the exit of Karan from the show.
The report said that Naitik would leave for Nigeria for his business assignment and Naman would accompany him. However, after reaching the hotel room in Nigeria, both Naitik and Naman would get involved in a huge argument. The fight will result in Naman pushing Naitik into a glass pane and with the latter getting severely injured. Naman will then plot a plan to kidnap Naitik.
