After news of Virat Kohli openly admitting to his relationship with Anushka Sharma surfaced, there were immediate conjectures of the sport star being roped in by production house giant Yash Raj Films for Aditya Chopra's next.
However, the official YRF Twitter handle posted, denying the rumours. "To avoid confusion, we would like to categorically state that there is no plan to launch Virat Kohli in YRF's next alongside Anushka Sharma," and added, "In an effort to clear a related miscommunication, Aditya Chopra is still working on his next script & the cast has still not been considered."
However, it was earlier reported that the ace cricketer has been approached by the director and the film was to be reportedly produced by wife Rani Mukerji. "They have been told about the film, and Virat has found the proposal interesting. When she (Rani) contacted Virat, he asked her for time till April 2015 for a final decision on this," Hindustan Times quoted a source.
All of these conjectures emerged right after the lovebirds came clean about their "special" friendship. While Sharma called her love for Kohli to be "pure", the latter reportedly maintained that relationships are very "personal" and so shouldn't be talked about this often.
"I will never disrespect my relationship by shying away from it. Like I said, it's all in the open. When I go out for dinner or to watch a match, everyone can see it. But if people still need a verbal confirmation, I am not giving it. I am not going to have conversations on my personal life. And why do I even need to? My personal life can't be made into a circus. But really, how much louder can I get?," HT quoted the "PK" star as saying.
Sharma, who is currently busy with "PK" promotions, will be next seen in "NH10", "Bombay Velvet" and "Dil Dhadakne Do".
