Here's some sad news for fans of "Tashan-e-Ishq." The show, which gained immense popularity in the past one year since its inception, is going off air.
According to reports, "Tashan-e-Ishq" will air its last episode on Sept.16. The report said that the makers decided to pull the plug as they didn't want to unnecessarily drag the storyline.
The show witnessed a decline in its rating ever since its lead actor Sidhant Gupta aka Kunj quit the show to participate in the ongoing dance reality show, "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9," and Naman Shaw stepped into his shoes.
Although viewers gradually started liking Naman and lead actress Jasmin Bhasin's (Twinkle) chemistry, the storyline failed to keep them engrossed. "The show will end after completing a year-long run. We felt that it was better to pull it off air than keep dragging it unnecessarily. We expected the ratings to get affected after Sidhant's exit from the show, but the viewers started liking Naman," a source from the production house told the Times of India.
Confirming the report, Zain Imam, who plays Yuvraj Luthra, said: "It's sad to know that the show, which you have worked hard for, is shutting down. But I am certain that it's for the better. I am hoping that there is something bigger in store for me after this. Having said that, I am definitely going to miss my 'Tashan' family."
Besides "Tashn-e-Ishq," another popular show "Diya Aur Baati Hum," which stars Deepika Singh and Anas Rashid as Sandhya and Sooraj, respectively, is going off air in September.
