Shah Rukh Khan has blocked 14 August, 2015 for the Maneesh Sharma directorial "Fan".
"A puja for the film was organised by the makers to kick off the shoot schedule of the film along with Shah Rukh Khan," a Bollywood Hungama report states.
On Wednesday, the "Happy New Year" actor confirmed news of shooting "Fan". "'Fan' started. HNY last leg. Beginnings & Endings interlinking. I am someone else before I finish being who I am. Unfinished or Many...???," he tweeted.
Independence Day weekend has proved to be lucky for the "Happy New Year" actor. Rohit Shetty's "Chennai Express", starring Shah Rukh and Deepika Padukone, cashed in on the long weekend and it turned out to be one of the biggest blockbusters of 2013.
But 2015 might turn out to be tough for both the stars as Kabir Khan's "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" starring Salman Khan is slated for an Eid release, which is only a month short of "Fan" release date.
Produced by Yash Raj Films, work on the project reportedly began about two months ago. Academy Award-winning special effects make-up artist Greg Cannom visited India to create a 'unique' look for the superstar.
Speaking about the look, Sharma told The Times of India that the look will be kept under wraps. "We are attempting a never-seen-before look for Shahrukh, which will be both challenging for us and exciting for the viewer. Understandably, this will be kept under wraps till the first look of the film is revealed," he said.
Following the story of a 'biggest' fan, the makers of the film haven't zeroed in on a leading lady yet. Parineeti Chopra and Vaani Kapoor are two names, which were being speculated a few months ago, but rumours suggest Padukone has been signed on. However, an official announcement is yet to be made.
