Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has reportedly said no to "Bigg Boss 9".
"He has made his decision very clear. In fact, the channel has already started looking for celebrities to host the next season of the show," Bollywood Life quoted a source close to Khan.
The superstar, who had expressed disinterest in hosting the eighth installment of the high-voltage reality show has not reprimanded any contestant yet since coming back.
However, after he got into a tiff with the makers for speaking his mind and being fiercely opinionated last season, Khan had asked the show creators to look for a replacement. He even went onto suggest foe-turned-friend Shah Rukh Khan's name for "Bigg Boss 8" adding that he would do justice to it.
"The problem is that you have to put in that much of time in the show. You have to watch all episodes daily to find out what happened and why. Then the host has to analyse those situations. Despite doing your best, you still have problems with the channel and contestants. The channel also wants you to say something and you don't want to. It's a lot of taam jhaam (hassle) ... a lot of stuff goes on," he told Hindustan Times earlier.
Meanwhile, if reports are to be believed, Ranveer Singh and Akshay Kumar have been approached for the next season but nothing has been confirmed yet. While Kumar has displayed exceptional hosting skills in "Fear Factor: Khatron ke Khiladi" and "Dare 2 Dance", roping in Singh might turn out to be quite a task in itself.
Salman, who is simultaneously working on two films, surely has a packed schedule ahead. Apart from Sooraj Barjatya's "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" with Sonam Kapoor and Kabir Khan's "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" opposite Kareena Kapoor Khan, the superstar has fully committed himself in sister Arpita Khan's wedding preparations.
