French auto maker Renault has been keeping Indian auto lovers on tenterhooks for quite some time now. But the waiting is almost over, with the company confirming the launch of its highly-anticipated Renault Lodgy MPV in India on 9 April.
Although the model has been linked to different launch dates, the latest date is final. The dealers of the company have already started accepting bookings for the soon-to-be-launched Lodgy MPV with a down payment of ₹50,000.
Under the hood, Renault Lodgy will be getting 1.5-litre dCi four-cylinder diesel engine that can churn out 85 PS and 110 PS of power outputs. The 85 PS variant will come mated to 5-speed manual transmission whereas the 110 PS will get 6-speed manual transmission. Both the versions will be offered with 7 and 8 seater configuration. Speaking of the fuel efficiency, 85PS version is tuned to deliver a mileage of 21.04kmpl, while the 110 PS promises to deliver 19.98kmpl.
Seated on a wheelbase of 2,810 mm, Lodgy MPV measures 4,498 mm in length, 1,751 mm in width, 1,697 mm in height.The features expected include electrically-adjustable wing mirrors, touchscreen infotainment system with USB, AUX connectivity and rear view camera with reverse parking sensors.
To be pitched against Honda Mobilio, Maruti Ertiga and Chevrolet Enjoy in the Indian market, Renault Lodgy is likely to be priced in the range of ₹8- ₹11 lakh.
