Nintendo has confirmed the global release window for its upcoming next-generation console, Nintendo NX, as March 2017.
The announcement came as part of Nintendo's earnings news conference in Japan. Takashi Mochizuki, The Wall Street Journal reporter, shared the news briefs via Twitter. It was revealed that Nintendo will be focusing on the new "Zelda" game at E3 and Nintendo's CEO is believed to have said that Nintendo NX will not be replacing 3DS and Wii U.
He also revealed that there will be two smartphone games, "Fire Emblem" and "Animal Crossing," and said that the new "Zelda" game would release next year for Wii U and Nintendo NX.
Tatsumi Kimishima, president of Nintendo Company, had noted in his message that NX was a gaming platform with a brand-new concept.
There have been numerous rumours that have surrounded Nintendo NX console. It was also revealed that Nintendo will be focusing more on apps for smartphones.
