Putting all speculations regarding Kareena Kapoor Khan's pregnancy to rest, her husband and actor Saif Ali Khan confirmed on Saturday that the actress is indeed pregnant. The couple, who got married in 2012, is expecting their first child in December this year.
Saif expressed his gratitude to his and Kareena's well-wishers for their blessings. "My wife and I would like to announce that we are expecting our first child in December. We would like to thank our well wishers for their blessings and support and also the press for their discretion and patience," the 45-year-old actor said in a statement, ANI reported.
Kareena's recent trip to London with Saif had sparked off rumours of her pregnancy. Soon after, the actress had also expressed her desire to start a family during an interview with a leading magazine.
Not just that, at a recent event, Kareena had neither accepted nor denied the pregnancy rumours. "God willing hopefully. I am a woman. But right now there is nothing to say about it. The fact that you all are talking about it is making me super excited," Indian Express quoted Kareena as saying.
This will be Kareena's first and Saif's third child. The actor has two children, Ibrahim and Sara, from his previous marriage to Amrita Singh.
On the work front, Kareena, who was last seen in "Udta Punjab," will next be seen on "Veere Di Wedding," which also has Sonam Kapoor in lead role.
