It's confirmed! Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma will star in a film "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" directed by Karan Johar.
Dharma Productions made the announcement on Monday on its Twitter handle.
"Here's the big news! @karanjohar to direct Aishwarya, Ranbir and Anushka in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. To be released on June 3, 2016," the production house tweeted.
"Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" will be KJo's seventh directorial film, but he will be directing Aishwarya, Ranbir and Anushka for the first time.
The film will be released on 3 June 2016, according to the movie's Twitter handle.
"The film is slated to release on June 3, 2016. #AeDilHaiMushkil, Music for the film to be given by Pritam #AeDilHaiMushkil" the tweet read.
The romantic film will feature Ranbir and Anushka as the lead pair. The director in an interview with The Times of India said that his next directorial will deal with relationships, heartbreaks and about love.
"It's a film that dwells deeply on relationships, heartbreaks and how love completes you, defines you and yet leaves you wanting for more. I have never had, in my entire career, a film that has come to me so fast, so organically and so from within," he said.
The film will extensively be shot in New York, London, Paris and parts of it in New Delhi.
The director kept Ranbir and Anushka's role under wrap, but said that Aishwarya's role will be unusual.
"Ae Dil Hai Mushkil also fulfills my big dream to work with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. It is possibly her most unusual and contemporary character and I can't wait to work with her. It is too early to talk about the film, but for now, all I want to say is that it is not a conventional love story or love triangle," he added.
