Wonder Woman just got released and DCEU fans have begun the countdown to Justice League. With the reshoots reportedly being kicked off in London under the guidance of Joss Whedon, new spoilers have started surfacing online.
The biggest spoiler came from a Wonder Woman cast member. It has now been confirmed that Justice League will see not only Gal Gadot reprise her role as Wonder Woman but also witness Queen Hippolyta and General Antiope's return.

In a recent interview to LA Times, Connie Nielsen said the two actresses will return for the movie.
"The mother and daughter relationship is always a beautiful but complex relationship. I think that there's a lot more to explore," Gadot said before Nielsen added, "[Robin Wright and I] got to do more in Justice League as well. As sisters as well. Kind of badass as well. We can't say much, but ..." she explained.
For those who have watched Wonder Woman, there is one particular scene from the Justice League trailer will remind you of the Amazons. (SPOILER) With General Antiope dying early in the Wonder Woman movie, the actresses confirming their return hints that there will be more of the Amazons' history.
A few months ago, when Game of Thrones actor Roose Bolton confirmed his position in the League movie, he hinted that the movie will begin with a battle scene. If you put two and two together, it is clear that Amazons will play an important part in setting the tone of Justice League.
Comicbook.com reported the battle sequence seen in the Justice League trailer is reminiscent of Jack Kirby lore in DC Comics. It looks like a reworked version of the historical battle between forces of the Old Gods (Zeus' creation, The Amazons) and the New Gods (Darkseid's forces from Apokolips).
Wonder Woman producer Charles Roven confirmed, according to DCEU history, The Old Gods hid important tools/weapons of the New Gods called Mother Boxes on Earth. "Back before history, mankind, the Atlanteans before they were underwater, the Amazonians (sic), and actually the Old Gods, teamed together and decided that, based on an event that happened, these Mother Boxes were going to be placed in the care of as I said, the Amazonians (sic), mankind, and the Atlanteans," Roven explained.

This means that the movie will not have one but two epic battles. Wonder Woman's history will play an important role in one of the battles, while Aquaman might take the centre stage in the second.
