Hrithik Roshan may be looking at a slow February, as doctors have advised him another month of bed rest for the ligament tear to heal completely. But one of his upcoming projects is showing movement, in terms of casting. Yami Gautam has been confirmed as the lead in the suave star's next titled "Kaabil".
Producer of the film, Rakesh Roshan, told The Times of India that the team is happy to have the "Sanam Re" lady on board. "Yami is a fine actress and makes a fresh pairing with Hrithik. She suits the role to the T and we are glad to have her on board." The filmmaker goes on to add, "After a long time, I have heard a novel story with all the commercial ingredients, so I'm very excited about it," the leading daily quoted him as saying.
To be directed by Sanjay Gupta, the romantic-drama will apparently see both Hrithik and Yami play visually impaired people, which is why Kareena Kapoor Khan let go of the project. According to SpotboyE, the "Ki and Ka" actress was also unsure about the length of her role in the film in question.
The Kapoor girl may not have taken fancy to the film's story, but the "Mohenjo Daro" star was mighty impressed with the concept. So much so that he went on to postpone Yash Raj Films' "Thug" to accommodate his father's home production.
Another interesting trivia about "Kaabil" is it may feature Sunny Leone in an item number. "We are currently in talks with Sunny Leone for the same, however nothing has been finalized as yet," Rakesh told Bollywood Hungama.
