Confirmed: Fatima Sana Shaikh joins cast of Aamir Khan's Thugs Of Hindostan

Fatima Sana Shaikh has been roped in to play the female lead in director Vijay Krishna Acharya's Thugs of Hindostan starring Bollywood superstars Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan.

While Aamir and Big B were confirmed to play the male leads in the movie, there were many speculations regarding the female lead in the film. Now, the Dangal actress is confirmed to be a part of the cast of Thugs of Hindostan.

"#NewsBreak: Fatima Sana Shaikh [#Dangal] joins the cast of Yash Raj's #ThugsOfHindostan... Co-stars Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan," trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted. "#ThugsOfHindostan is directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya [#Dhoom3]. Shooting starts 1 June 2017..Diwali 2018 release," he added.

Although there were reports of Fatima being roped in for the movie earlier as well, it was later reported that she had lost the project as Aditya Chopra did not want her in it for one reason. It was reported that there is a dream sequence in Thugs of Hindostan, in which Fatima's character and Aamir's character will have a kiss. Aditya opined that the audience will not approve their kissing scene as she had played Aamir's daughter in Dangal, reports had said.

However, some time back, a picture of Fatima in the look of a warrior had gone viral on social media, and it was said that it was a look test for Thugs of Hindostan.

The picture had made people believe that Fatima is the one to play the heroine in the Aamir-starrer. Nevertheless, now it has been confirmed that she is indeed a part of the cast.
